The Silver Pen began as a way
for me to document the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and oftentimes hilarious journey through, with, over and around breast cancer. One year later I'm
still in recovery but now on a
journey to find Silver Linings
in all aspects of life.
I had a wonderful weekend in San Francisco with my youngest daughter. It was a planned diversion from the mastectomy I am having in a week. The first silver lining was it worked. The second silver lining was when she said, “look at it as liposuction, your breast tissue is made up of fat so this is a good thing. Your body fat nbrs will be lower.” Did I mention my daughter is a personal trainer at a sports fitness club?
Dear JoAnn,
Please stay in touch and let us know how your surgery goes!
Thanks so much for your note. Isn’t San Francisco the BEST? I just love it there. Sounds like you had a wonderful time…I’m so happy for you! It also sounds like you have a very wise daughter.
