    • Dear Elizabeth,
It is indeed so hard. Might I recommend a support group? I have led many support groups and have found them to be immensely helpful to people. If not a group, perhaps some individual counseling to help you move forward in your life. The pain of your husband’s death is immense. They say that time is a healer…however, it sure seems as if the clock slows down. I hope that reading The Silver Pen is of some help. Sending all of my very best wishes to you, Elizabeth!

  2. I just heard an interview with you on the radio yesterday. I admire you for your strength & encouragement to women everywhere. My Mother was a 19 year Breast Cancer Survivor who lost her battle in 2006.

I’m currently on a 5 year tamoxifen regimen following 2 biopsies which removed cancerous cells.
Predicament, am currently without medical insurance & need 2 mammograms per year. Is there anywhere I can get a free or reduced cost mammogram? I currently reside in San Jose CA.

    Fall Blessings to you…….

    • Thank you for your note, Kristen. I’m sorry to hear about everything you’ve had to go through, from the death of your mom to your own diagnosis. I highly recommend that you look into your local chapter of Susan G. Komen. They offer a wide array of free services and I am hopeful that they can be of assistance to you. Please stay in touch…all my best wishes! Hollye
