Beautiful Budding

This morning, for the first time in a month, I went on a HIKE!  I can’t begin to describe how happy this made me. I was giddy from the tips of my toes to the top of my bald head.

Everywhere I looked, I found beautiful budding (Silver Lining).

The photograph below describes exactly how I’m feeling physically, emotionally and spiritually. Life, my life, is beginning to blossom again.  Little by little. Slowly but surely, life is coming back!

It’s not to say that I don’t have quite a bit more chemo to do (because I do), followed by radiation.  However, I feel like somewhere deep inside, I am reflecting this flower.

Below are some other photos from the hike.  How happy I was to find pink, fragrant (I wish you could smell them!) roses dotted along the hike as well (SL).

Joy of joys!

Where flowers bloom so does hope.

I'm so happy you were able to get outside for a hike and take in the beauty all around you. Even on our darkest days there is beauty – especially in nature and of course in the faces of the ones we love. Life does have a way of creeping back in – even when we least expect it – but you went looking for it – even when it would have been easier not to – and for that you should be truly commended. On the toughest of days keep looking for those SL's and you will make it through. Remember to hang on and it will get easier and you will feel better one day very soon. As you know, I've been there too. Thank you for your thoughts – you're an inspiration!
